In the beginning of July 2011 Microsoft released SP1 for its line of Office 2010 software, which includes Office 2010 suite and individual products (Visio, Project, SharePoint Designer), SharePoint 2010 servers, Search Server 2010, and FAST Search Server 2010 for SharePoint.

The number of SP1 downloads is quite substantial though. Here are two listings of all required files:
– List of all Office 2010 SP1 packages
– List of all SharePoint 2010 and Office Server 2010 SP1 packages

Additionally the latest Cumulative Update (CU) and Service Pack information for all versions of Office products can always be found here:
– Update Center for Microsoft Office, Office Servers, and Related Products

Please note, that procedure of installing SP1 for SharePoint Server 2010 consists of first installing SharePoint 2010 Foundation and its Language Packs SP1, without running Configuration Wizard, then SharePoint 2010 Server SP1 and Server Language Packs, and executing SharePoint Configuration Wizard only in the end, in order to upgrade SharePoint databases.

Today, on March 15, the long-awaited final release of Internet Explorer 9 becomes available to public. Along with a large number of improvements to the current browsing experience including speed and security, IE9 brings a great deal of brand new abilities, in particular its support of still in draft HTML 5 and CSS 3 standards, as well as a new take on browser integration with operating system and hardware acceleration.

Let us hope that IE9 launch can also end the era of IE6, which is still surprisingly widely popular in corporate world. The Internet Explorer 6 Countdown.

This is a brief list of sites showcasing IE9 features, including support of HTML 5 and CSS 3, and providing overview and technical details about the new browser:

Even though, workarounds for this problem were announced on Scott Guthrie’s blog almost the same day, the official patch came out just two days ago (ASP.NET Security Fix Now on Windows Update).

Please note, that even though SharePoint 2007 was considered originally not affected by this problem, there was an updated post on SharePoint team site discussing certain variations, when this vulnerability still can be taken advantage of – Security Advisory 2416728 (Vulnerability in ASP.NET) and SharePoint.
